The Town
- The town is a 10-15-minute walk on flat ground from the park; it is an easy stroll that many of our visitors undertake. (3 mins by car). The main shopping precinct covers Bank and Sackville Streets in the heart of town where you could easily lose an hour browsing in and out of the shops. We are lucky to have a strong and eclectic contingent of clothing stores, many fine restaurants, cafes and bakeries which will draw you in for a cake or other such delights.
- IGA Port Fairy Plus Liquor fills the towns supermarket requirements: open daily till 8.00pm (Sackville Street)
- The town has a quaint Library in Sackville Street that has internet service as does the The Port Fairy and Region Visitor Information Centre in Bank Street.

The Port Fairy Museum and Archives
Located at 30 Gipps Street opposite the wharf. The History society was formed in 1963 as a centre for local research into the early history of the town and its pioneer families. In 1992 the society was able to negotiate the lease of the historic Courthouse building (classified by the National Trust) in Gipps Street.…

Art
Port Fairy is home to a large number and variety of artists. The visitor centre has copies of the Art Walk which will take you around the town visiting many of these galleries. As well Simon O’Dwyer, renowned photographer has opened a studio in Sackville Street, Perfumed Waters Gallery.
